Tank size: 26 Gallon. Community with Danios, Neons and Corys.
pH: 7.6
ammonia: 0
nitrite: 0
nitrate: 10
kH: 4 dKh
gH: High. Hard to get good readings with Wonder Shell.
tank temp: 76 degrees F.

Fish Symptoms (include full description including lesion, color, location, fish behavior): My normally active and happy Betta now hides most of the time in his cave and rarely comes out to look around. If he does, he sits on a leaf. Doesn't eat much. No apparent signs of outward lesions or discoloration. He doesn't seem to be bloated, but his belly is somewhat large. After several days of this, I quarantined him and gave him Tetra Safeguard for 5 days. I put him back and he was a bit better for a few days, but has now gone back into his funk. I've noticed two white gooey poops. I've not fed any peas, but he gets a variety of Betta Bites, tropical flakes, spirulina flakes, and dried blood worms.

Volume and Frequency of water changes: 10-15% weekly.

Chemical Additives or Media in your tank: Prime, Wonder Shells (minerals), Alkaline and Acid buffers, Flourish and Excel.

Tank inhabitants: see above. All appear normal.

Recent additions to your tank (living or decoration): Added live plants a few months ago.

Exposure to chemicals: See above.

Digital photo (include if possible): He won't come out of his cave.

No fin nips that I've ever seen. They all pretty much ignore each other. They've been together for about 6 months.

To may dried foods. Over feeding freeze dried foods can lead to constipation and swim bladder.

Feed some shelled peas.
Don't feed any bloodworms for a week.

Improve the fish diet with some frozen foods and veg.

Constipation in fish cause bloating, white stringy poo.
I think I would also issolate the betta and try a bacterial med.
Is the filter current to strong for him.

Neons might nip the betta fins.
He would be better off in a tank of his own.
