Sick Betta

Thanks. This new one seems a lot less-sick, but won't eat just like the last...wouldn't even take a bloodworm! I don't know what this is, but it still seems a lot like a swim-bladder thing. Might have been caused at an early age by a bad batch of BBS. That's still my guess since this LFS gets all their bettas from one breeder, and I've never seen as much as a dead betta.

The LFS gets in a new shipment of bettas tomorrow so I'm going to go by. If I see any fish that seem to have this, I'll definately say something.

Could be just a bit of stress then from the journey to a new tank that the fish dosn't want to eat, is the new fish thin again, check the anus just to make sure its not red and inflamed or large.
I don't know if that fish you had before was eating well but being thin can be a sign of internal parasites to fish tb.

Well, she has the exact same signs as the other sick one, only isn't AS thin (she's still pretty thin). Tomorrow I'll ask about this at the LFS to see what they can say about it, and point me towards a good medication.

Something not right if there not eating can understand why the fish are losing weight, but if a fish dosn't want to eat not a good sign.
I know it nice to want to save a fish but sometimes you never no what you are fetching in, keep your equipment sterlised and never place them in a tank with another fish till you know what going on.
And wash your hands when you have had contact with the betta, good luck.

Hope so fingers crossed, and good luck.
