My poor betta is sick. He has a HUGE LUMP on his side. Other than that he Looks healthy otherwise. He has trouble swimming and pretty much sinks to the bottom. He stays close to the surface, like he doesn't want to move. He is in 2.5 gallon tank. So sad to see him like this! What is this and can I help him???

What are your tank readings? Ammonia, etc? How long has the tank been set up?
I'm really not sure on the lump, although I'm sure someone else will chime in soon. Do you have a picture?

First thing is do you have a picture of the lump?

Next - What is your tank's temperature and do you have a heater?
What is your water change schedule and how much water do you change at that time?
Do you have a filter on your tank?  If so, did you cycle it before adding the betta?
Is the betta eating at all?

Kiwi still eats and could eat like a pig. 75 degrees. Which we are turning the heater back on since we learned it needs to be warmer. Amonia reading i don't have.

I am glad to hear that he still eats.  That is a good sign.
Yeah definitely work on getting his temperature up around 80F and he will feel much better.  Since the water is pretty cool and he is having swimming issues, I would suggest you do not feed him too much at one time since his metabolism will be slowed down making it harder for him to digest his food in a timely manner.

Without knowing what the ammonia reading is, it is hard to say if water conditions are playing a part in his health.
How often do you change the water in the tank?
How much water do you change each time?
Do you have a filter running on this tank?

If you can get a picture that would be great. You can upload it by going to 'More Reply Options' and attaching file at the bottom.
If this doesn't work you can upload the pic(s) to a photo sharing website such as photobucket and link here.

I recommend you get a liquid test kit ASAP so that you can get the readings for ph, ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate.

Hope he can pull through this.
