I recently purchased a Sicce Space Eko 120 which I'm happy with, but the lack of spares is shocking, I always like to purchase a spare lid o ring, as you never know when you might have a leak, I googled and nothing came up, even on Ebay,
I phoned the company I bought the filter from and they don't sell them, they advised me to email Sicce, which I thought was a bit of a cheek,
If companies are selling a product like an aquarium filter surely they should sell spares.
I did email Sicce, but up to now have received no answer, probably my fault I should have looked up spares before I purchased, if I'd know how difficult it was I would not have bought.

We live in a world where corporations talk about green initiatives and denounce landfills while making it harder and harder to keep their low quality plastic products out of said landfills. It would be funny if it weren't so destructive.
I've been able to get Fluval replacement parts, and have reconditioned a few HOBs and canisters with them. A local store where I used to live sold a lot of repair parts, and I appreciated that. With other brands, I cannibalize them for parts if I have more than one. The plastic in our hobby adds up.
I like the "EKO" in the name of a hunk of plastic you can't get repair parts for easily.

I must be a very very small cog, when I email Sicce asking where can I buy the spare o ring, they can't be bothered to answer me, but I was good enough to buy their filter.

I just had an aquaclear impeller shaft break. I'm offended - it's one I bought second hand 13 years ago. Things don't last....

I took the motor assembly off and replaced it with one from a much smaller aquaclear, where the impeller post was solid. I put the impeller from the larger one on it, and fired it up. With the exception of the largest models, the motors and impellers are interchangeable. That's a well made, easily repaired device.

I haven't bought one for a few years to see if they've maintained that though.

You can buy new impeller shafts, but they only replace well once. It makes sense for companies to offer this, and it would cost me about 10 bucks to get a replacement piece it probably costs 5 cents to manufacture and 10 cents to distribute.

For crise sake give sicce time to respond or submit the request via their website. I recently wanted a $5 dollar part and they responded fairly quickly - of course shipping was also $5 (not horrible). No clue about scottland since that is well in nowhere land but they do respond and in the worse case take a trip to italy torch in hand and demand they respond to you.
