Best way to get rid of it is manual removal. It's a pain but it's probably your best bet. welcome to the forum by the way!

Looking on the internet at how to get rid of black hair algae it says the siamese algae eater is the only fish that will eat it. will still keep on with the manual removal untill i can find some. thanks for the reply
