Hi,

These were labeled as Siamese Flying Fox at the local petbarn, but I think they are SAE. They don't have any colouring on their fins and the black stripe does taper off through the back fin. I've read that Flying Foxes also have a gold stripe above the black but these one's don't.

I think they are SAE, but was hoping that someone could confirm it for me. I bought five because I know that SAE like to be in groups - but Flying Foxes are more solitary so if they are flying foxes I'd rather know now so that I can do something about it.

Thanks,
Dean

You are right they are SAE.
SAE babies, they look tiny compared to mine, they grow quite big and fat...mine are about 4-5 inchs.

I was ill-advised and bought some of those a few years ago, they were very aggressive and actually sucked the sides of other fish in the tank.....
