Ever find the jawfish Firetheif?

Nope, not seen it in weeks. I'm assuming he's died in the tank. I have heard folk assuming fish have been dead for months or even years only to find them still alive in their own little bolthole under some LR at the back of the tank. Nice thought eh?

I do have a spare 20Gal that I could set up as a jawfish species tank.... and do it properly this time. They do better in a tank with a 360 degree view all round them, that would be a pretty nice picture if I could find a mated pair (even a civil partnership would do!). That said, I've got about 652 other ideas for that tank... frogfish being one of them, temperate seahorses (Hippocampus breviceps) being another, amazon blackwater with apistogramma being another, aaaand the list goes on. You know how it is.

You could always do jawfish and pipefish, because some/most pipefish are tropical. =]

That sounds good actually. I'd considered pipefishes a wee while ago. I'd love to do a sygnathid + seagrass tank but I've not had much luck with planted tanks so I can imagine it goin downhill after the first few months. I'd also need to source pipes that are eating frozen. Sounds interesting anyway, another to add to the list.
