Hello to everyone, please be gentle as this is my first post.

Firstly I'd like to say thanks to everyone on here for unknowingly helping me get my first tank set-up and running, although the first month or so was very stressfull while cycling my tank..many lost fish :-(
I wish I had found the forum sooner.

Anyhow, all is good now, or so I thought.

My 125ltr Juwel Rio tank consists of the following :

1 male dwarf gourami
5 black phantom tetra
2 sailfin mollies
6 neon tetra
1 balck molly
3 dalmation mollies
3 platties
5 zebra danios
5 scissor tails
1 featherfin catfish
5 ( I think ) Japonica shrimp

I introduced the scissor tails a week ago and as soon as I did both the neons and black phantoms went into hiding. I phoned my lfs who said that they would be fine in a few days to get used to the scissor tails and just to keep an eye on them. ( like I don't already ;) )

The neons have now ventured back into the open ( although still remaining near the bottom of the tank ) but the 5 phantoms are still hiding. They don't rush to the surface anymore at feeding time.

Can anyone tell me if the phantoms just need more time to adjust to the bigger scissor tails or should I remove the scissor tails and return them to my lfs ?

Water stats are as they should be...
Amonia - 0
Nitrite - 0
Nitrate - 20
PH - 7-8

Thanks in advance
Paul

I would take them back to the store. Scissortail Rasboras, right? They get to be about 5 inches, and since you have 5 of them, your tank is too small to accomodate them. Your tetras are probably afraid of them since they like to dart around.
