Shy Barbs

I bought some indian drape fin barbs this morning. they insist on hiding. there are some larger fish in the tank but there are other small fish in there too which don't hide. nor do the gold and odessa barbs in there. this has happened to me with other (gold) barbs before. will they come out of hiding with time as the gold barbs did?

keep the lights off for the first few hours and provide lots of cover, most importantly give them a little time to settle in, after all they have just been shoved in a bag and put into a new enviroment, some fish can take months to gain confidence.
