Shrimps And Tetras

Hi, Have Black Widow Tetra, Black Neon Tetra and X-Ray Tetra would it be ok to put shrimps in with them?

Hi, Forgive me I didn't know there were different types. Just planned on going to the store to see what they had. What would you recommend?

anyone know of any shrimp that eat Red alage (aka Black beard algae)
and will be safe from

Zebra danio
Neon tetra
Bristlenose Catfish.

Most pet stores do not carry a good selection of shrimp. You will likely find (if any) Ghost shrimp which are compatible. Maybe Cherry shrimp and/or Bamboo shrimp, if it is a good shop. Both are a good choice, although I would stay away from the Bamboo shrimp unless your tank is mature (six months stable or more). If the pet shop has no shrimp on hand you my need to order some.

I have an amano shrimp and it has been fine with my 6 glowlight tetras.
