Are you asking about shrimp you can feed to them or to just have as pets in the tank? For pets, amano, ghost, bamboo and vampire shrimp are good tank mates. As for eating, they will eat dwarf shrimp like neocaridina heteropoda, especially the shrimplets. Also you could feed brine shrimp but you would have to trust the source they came from as you don't want to introduce illness/parasites into your tank from a contaminated batch. Many people grow their own brine shrimp from eggs and hatch them in saline water.

The larger shrimps will be fine, cherries will get nailed straight away.

Yep. I can attest to this. My apistos are rather partial to cherry shrimp (and also small snails) so stick to the larger shrimp, and try to buy them as large as possible.
