Shrimp

I have a 100l tank and i would like some shrimp in it.
But i do not no any good shrimp. But in my tank i have 2 x angels 8 x barbs and 2 x zebra loach 2 x golden dojo loach would any of these fish eat or attack shrimp.
If not what are some good bright coloured shrimp and i would like some that breed.

Cherry shrimp would be your best bet if you're after something that breeds well, plus they're brightly coloured and easy to look after. Only problem is they may end up as lunch for the angels, especially any babies produced.

How much cover is there in the tank? I'd suggest lots of hiding places/plant cover. Moss is particularly good as shrimp cover.

so are cherry shrimp very easy to breed then and i have a moss ball but mainly stem plants

i bought 3 cherry shrimp and within no time i had bout 30.... then strangely they all disappeared

I dont think cherries would stand a chance in a tank with angels, only if it was VERY heavily planted............but then you'd never see them anyway!

Larger Amanao shrimp MAY be ok, but I've noticed that my previously extrovert Amanos have gone into hiding since I introduce one angel to the tank. Still alive (keep seeing the skeleton moults) but have seen them only once in three months.

ok what about if i buy 5 put them into my baby tank that has platys and guppies and let them breed so i have 20+ then put about 3 of the largest into the angel tank and see if they live and if they do add a few more and keep on adding some when the babies get larger

Also you mentioned skeleton moults what are they

sounds like a cost effective plan. Might be worth a go.

Generally speaking, if a fish can get something in it's mouth, it will try to eat it.
