Shrimp Questions

I`m thinking of buying a few cherry shrimp to go into my community tank, but I have a few questions that I cant find answers to, hopefully someone on the forum can help

What is the life expectancy of cherry shrimp
Do I need to quarantine new stock, if so for how long
How should I acclimatise new stock

You would acclimitise them the same way as you would your fish. Life expectancy from baby to adult is ~2 years. You will however notice, provide them with the proper environment and they breed like crazy. Stay away from products that contain copper such as medications etc. Most trace ferts have copper in it but such small amounts shouldn't affect them.

I don't believe that inverts can transfer illness to fish and visa versa but quarantining never hurt no body.
