Shrimp Or Snails

An Apple Snail and some Trumpet Snails sound good. MTS won't eat plants, though they'd crawl on it for algae. Apple Snails I believe do go after plants if there's nothing else to eat. It's easy to control both populations, Apple Snail eggs can be easily spotted and removed and MTS won't reproduce as franticly if they're not overfed.

You CAN have snails all you have to do is keep the population down. Oh and I've been looking for apple snails for awhile so if yours does breed you can always send some to me lol.

Edit: NEvermind you're in england....

Expect new shipments sometime between the end of this month to end of next month. There's been laws passed about the sale of certain species, and all snail breeding facilities need to be inspected and get their permits in order. The Walmart near me got a shipment in last month, and Petsmart is expecting shipments by the end of next month. They really haven't been any available for about four months, now. And the stores should be over-loaded with snails because the idiots just kept ordering them when they weren't being shipped.

You can always order online and get any color you want. Snails ship very well, and actually don't require being in water like fish - stick them in damp papertowels and priority ship them and they're fine. I've shipped and recieved snails before without problems.

coolies if i get babys i'll think about shipping some....now then...tetras4me plecs get very big and my tank isnt big enough understand
well off to an lfs today although i'll probably going to B.A.S i love that place

Tetras4me.... you come to a fish forum to LEARN the RIGHT information. Not get told the wrong information. Common/Sailfin plecs have the ability to grow around a foot plus long. They need around 100 gallon plus tank fully grown as they need space to turn!!! I can tell your one of those people who love getting advice from the lfs as you have given alot of bad advice recently :grr:
