upto you, it might leave larger fish alone but depends on his personality could turn into a serious fish killer, only time will tell

was thinking because the shrimp would eat alot more algae or will the crayfish do the same job?

never had shrimps to be honest, however, the two lobsters ive got, at first stayed in the caves, nowadays they will come out exploring the tank, just let him settle a bit, he sounds quite young also, wait till his blue colouring comes through
