Shrimp/catfish Pellets

This may be a really stupid question :blush:

but I’ve heard of people recommending “shrimp” pellets. Are they a different thing to blood worm pellets or algae wafers? Or what about catfish pellets; what are they?

The only pellets I see in the LFS are algae wafers and I’ve seen blood worm pellets on e-bay but I’ve not actually come across the other two types.

Never heard of shrimp pellets myself. My guess is that the pellets contain shrimp which is probably in turn good for your fish as its a substitute for live food.

I use Catfish pellets and bloodworm pellets for my fish. They're good as they break down slowly in the water and it gives my corys and plecs a chance to eat whereas if I was using flake, they probably wouldn't get as much as the mid water fish would munch it first.

Also, I believe that Catfish pellets are tailored Catfish's dietry needs.

i feed shrimp pellets to my ghost shrimp, and the pellets are made from shrimp

i've personally never heard of catfish pellets, but im sure of one thing. i would hope they're not made of catfish!

there are shrimp pellets made specifically for feeding shrimp, if that's what you mean?

I think I was asking are they the same thing.

What are the difference between catfish wafers because I always assumed they were algae wafers but now I'm begining to think I'm wrong.

I now know shrimp pellets are made of shrimp - it's more than I knew before lol; are they actually labelled as "shrimp pellets" on the pot?

our lfs don't even sell stuff like that....I'll be ebaying myself (well my fish) some now
