Shrimp And Catfish

Hi, I've got a fairly new tank which might be cycled soon, and I'm thinking about what fish I should add next.

I have a fairly small 10 gallon tank, currently with 5 Zebra Danios in it. I'd love a bottom-dwelling animal next, and I've been looking at shrimp and catfish.

However I've read that shrimp need near perfect water conditions, is this true? If it is then as a beginner I won't get them just yet. Also, would it be ok to mix shrimp with cat fish? I've been looking at Peppered catfish in particular.

well as long as you intend on getting the corydoras species they should be fine with the shrimp and shrimp need good clean water and i would suggest ghost shrimp as they are quite hardy
