WEll basicly ive changed ideas wit hfish stocking and need to now what else i could have. I want 2 ocelaris and a clown goby but that leaves a space for 3 other fish (or 1 big on and 1 small anotehr small) I would really like to have a sort of centerpiece fish but i know thats dificult in a nano so im into all suggestions. Bright and colourful is my plans and nothing too boisterous for the goby.

kind regards rhys

You might have aggression problems with that particular pygmy angel. I know there are a couple of really similar looking ones, that are about the same size (can't for the life of my remember the latin names), but they have a much sweeter temperment. I know someone on this forum has one the better behaved ones, but can't remember who.

I have a Centrotype Acanthops - African Flameback, gorgeous gorgeous lil fish. There is also C. Auranotus which is similar and is known as the Brazilian Flameback, or Fireball Angel. They grow to about 2.5 - 3" max and ours is SO friendly and has never gone into hiding, picked at corals or bullied the clowns. He just loves being cleaned and even lets the clowns eat first. He is so docile. I highly recommend them over the C. Argasi (or whatever its called) - the cherub angel is much more aggresive.

here is a link to a photo of my fish:

Take a look at a Longnose hawkfish. Great personality and easy to keep!!!

Sorry about my post i was looknig something else up and forgot that i wasn't on the gourami/ antiboids forum anymore lol.

the yellow face pygmy angel is not that aggressive, i had him in my 20 gallon reef and alls he did was bother newcomers for a little until they realized the rock area was his, but later he accepted them going in his area, if you add the pygmy angel last i think he will be fine with everyone else.

at the weekend i went to the LFS and saw the prices of dwarf angels and they are £50 for small ones and up to £90 for a medium ones. They are just too far aout of my price range and i cant afford to spend so much money on something that has a good chance of dying. :(
