Come on you reefers lets see the pics....no not of yer amazing picturesque aquariums....lets see the real nitty gritty behind the scene equipment shots of below and behind.

Just took updated pictures of the sump. Mines relatively tidy. I've still got to sort all the wires out and cut the pipe a bit to ease the tension off... but heres under my cabinet after removing the central support and putting in a new framework.

Sump with refugium, protein skimmer.

dont u have problems with the outlets right above the sump, water spray splashing etc?

None at all. The pipe from the overflow box goes into the water and stops about an inch above the bottom of the sump, so there is no splashing. The return pump is underwater and the blow off pipe is submerged as well (I needed it because the pump is 2500 LPH and the overflow is 2000 LPH and was pumping quicker than the overflow was draining, despite having to pushthe water up about 1.2m :grr:). The return section of the protein skimmer is only an inch above the water and is about 6 inches from the plugs. Everything just trickles softly.

I will have to get those cables tidied up as they look a bit unsightly.

Common ... no hiding the wires get those pictures up.

LOL Now Now Big C.. we all know your a neat freak and just want to show us all up!..PMSL
No..No.. not at all.. I have always kept killifish and had many fish-houses in the past all full of clutter (the only reason I have to keep the marine one tidy is because its in the house) I like looking to see what equipment other aquarists have under the stairs so to speak. So get posting tidy or untidy I'm not going to criticise anyone or poke derogatory remarks. You setup is your setup. So lets see them.

the big thing in the front is a barrel of RO it's off the water cooler at work and holds 18.5 liters witch is exactly the amount of evaporation I have a week!

:hyper: A week.
I'm wondering about my lowly nano (85ltr) evaporation now.
I knew this thread would be thought provoking.
Thanks Matt
