I've restarted having a fish tank but while cleaning my 45cm (22l) tank the base cracked.
fortunately for me i hav 3 back up tanks but they are much smaller and ended up using the big tank that was back up tank.

Between me (and the rest of the guys).... there is no question on Tropicals we do not know the answer to.... feel free to ask. (they) will have the answer for you....you've just joined the best!!!

haha, he's got it :good:

ya ludwig i know you and i had a few conversations about lack of variety in the betta division in out fair country of Suid Africa.

my old username was Deagan182betta....lol kinda forgot it wen i had time to return to the forum for advise.
unfortunately since then my two veiltail bettas have passed on.(thermometer had hairline crack....thus poisoning the water with mercury) and i had no idea why they passed as they looked health and the temp was not to high (so fish aging was the reason for it).

so the tank ive started now i am happy with just that the ornament is stripping its paint (now this im scared of)....i have purchased two beautiful Dwarf Gouramis at one of the LFSs in my area picked them up after work....

but now i have to wait till the two dwarfs are confident in the tank before adding a few peppered cats and albino cats. then a plec (i love these...had atleast one in every tank i kept).

waiting on a deal for a 50L tank to fall thru then i can get my betta on again.

so what do you peoples tanks look like i'd like to draw some inspiration for my own tank :good:

here is my tank i have changed it from marine to tropical today. it is awaiting some angel fish afte the tank is finished cyceling and maybee a few albino corys

loving all your different tanks pippoodle - I'd love to have that many - if only I had the space!! :)

im getting so jealous about the different tank types. and my 50L tank might be on its way next wk.

btw is it okay to have two dwarf gouramis in a 40L tank? as i have added these to my tank...but it looks like theres a lil' bit of chasing going on

i havent been on in a very long time and since the last time i was on my 2 Dwarf gouramis have been assasinated by eksom (south african power provider) due to power cuts at the worst and coldest days...

currently rebuilding my tank from over a fresh start....the tank is currently cycling.

and still in the market for a bigger tank maybe a 1.2m long one for bettas only.

tank rebuild:

mangrove stump (needs to be boiled again)
light brown sand coloured gravel
two internal pumps with induced air from the elite500 air pump.
silk plants
have a light for the tank aswel
will restock the tank soon with some fish but havent decided what to get yet
