I have had lots of contradicting advise from my lfs, websites and books. The question is are my two Hong Kong Plecs okay to stay in with my goldfish (fantails and small comets) The three types never bother each other? They are well oxygenated etc. My lfs said yes but the websites seem to lean towards no.

They seem happy enough and have survived their first month ok, they have grown quite considerably. I'm not interested in hearing about cycling / over stocking etc, just what the guys in the forum think of these fish and where they should be kept (coldwater, tropical or on their own etc).

Thanks
Phil

very interesting site, I will see what i can do about one of those river tanks, i have seen them mentioned before. Thanks.

I keep hillstream loaches with my fancy goldfish and hve not encountered any problems. They can be very difficult to keep however, I have had to add extra aeration and a series of powerheads to create fast current in the tank. Ideally they should be in their own habitat tank.
