I currently have a 29 gallon tank with 6 Red-eye Tetras, 12 Zebra Danios, one little Rubberlip Pleco and one male Krib. I want to get a mate for my Krib but I didn't know if I should just get a female and hope they get along (I can probably take her back & exchange her if they don't) or how to do it. I doubt I can get 6 or 8 Kribs and wait till two pair up so what options do I have?

Also, from a stocking standpoint - Does that pretty much fill my tank or could I safely get two pairs of Kribs in there?

Agression wise,2 pairs may not work. I would buy several females and see which one the malenpairs with. Then I would take the extra females back.

hi when i had them i always had 2 females and a male, they had young at the same time, they where in a big tank and lived at opposite ends, watch out when they start to breed proper little hard cases they are nothing will dare go near them, good luck, nice little fish they are,,kenny

What I find is when they claim a territory they will keep all others of their kind pinned behind the heater if the tank is not big enought to get away. When they are ready to breed the most dominant of the opposite sex seems to brave the territory holder and within a couple of days they pair up. If there is space for the fish to get away, which I imagine there is in a 29g then I would just get one female and be done with it. They seem like a fish which only really tolerates one of their kind being around unless they are paired up.
