Should I Feed My Platies This?

I used to have Black Convict Cichlid and i decided to switch over to platies. I still have pellets for cichlids that are from Hikari. I have baby and mini pellets. I decided to feed my platy one and they seemed to love it, but they had a hard time trying to eat it so i decided to crush a few and feed it to them and they ate it all. I also fed my baby fry some of the baby pellets as they help them grow faster. I fed all pellets crushed. Is this alright? Pellets are healthy so i think it should be OK.

Have a look at the crude analysis of your food. If the fat and protein content are similar to your usual platy food, go ahead and use up the left overs.
