You might of read about 1 of the 2 rescue bettas i got the other day. 1 of them,my little white VT called Ghost is really thin, I dont think he had much food - probably didnt have much choice being wedged behind a filter and forced to stay there by a betta double his size!
Im just wondering whether I should feed him more than the others to get him gaining weight quicker?
They each get about 8 pellets a day and they all gobble the lot straight away, should I give more to Ghost or will this over stretch his stomach or hurt him in anyway? I dont like seeing him so thin when hes so cute!
I think he must be my favourite 'cos of his tiny size and cute little face

Overfeeding is a bad idea with bettas, leading to all sorts of internal problems, so I wouldn't do it "just until he plumps up"- or any other time for that matter.
Bettas have tiny little stomachs (remember, only about the size of their eye), and are known to have a sensitive digestive track anyway.
Given time I'm sure Ghost will fill in with regular feedings.

I am careful of overfeeding since it can cause swim bladder problems, I give mine 2 or 3 pellets twice a day. Once a week they all get a pea and if they don't eat the pea I make them fast for a day to clean out their system. He is very lucky that you found him and giving him the best of care.
