Hey all.

Ive had my L048 for about 7 - 8 months now which by the way hasn't grown a cm :L Its about 2.5 - 3 inches and is really healthy, quite active too which is nice :)
I have noticed though this past couple of months that it has a few paleish strips on it. I dont know whether this is normal or not but it wasnt like that when i got it.

Here is a picture when i got it:

And here it is now:

As you can see its a bit slow in the growth department, i got a clown plec at a similar time and size and its already about 1-2cm bigger :L

Can anyone tell me how much these are worth? i got it for £30 but i haven't seen any others for sale or on here.

Thanks :)
Rob

What makes you so sure this is not L201, or Hypancistrus contradens, both of which reach much smaller sizes than L048?

What are you feeding it and how often?

What temp is the setup?

Thats what it was labelled as in the shop, it does look like a L201 but wth more spots on. Do you think that the shop had the wrong label for it? im not really a plec expert lol i just liked the look of it :L Just looked online and most of the pictures of the L048 seem to have more spots on it than mine with only a few that look the same as my one :/
I feed my plecs tetra wafer mix every other day and frozen bloodworm 2 - 3 times a week for some of the meat eating fish.
The tank atm is at 24-25[sup]0[/sup] but sometimes goes up to 26-27 if its a really hot day (so not that often haha)

If theres any more info you need plesae ask :)

Cheers

Thanks :)
just an update, it was on the glass the other day and looks a bit starved? not quite sure though as its always active and eats wafers algae etc.
