my local pet shop has had only one betta left from last consignment. yesterday he was swimming about like a good one with some neons. Today I had to take something back and thought he had been sold. I then spotted him someone had moved him and put him in with the gouramis. He was almost dead, fins shredded and stressed. The chap gave him to me. Poor little thing is in clean warm water with aqua salt and stress coat, but he does look ill. At least he is dying in peace...

I do hope he has the strength and will to recover in his lovely new home. If he does, I am sure he will reward your kindness

Poor little thing has died. His fins were in tatters and he looked as if he had some sort of fungus growing near his mouth. I almost got him on Saturday but he looked so happy and I didnt need him. Well he had about 3 hours in nice clean water before he left for the Pond. RIP little fish...sorry I couldnt help you more

Poor little thing. I am glad he didn't die in the shop though. I hope he felt loved for his last hours. Make sure you tell the LFS what happened, they need to know this is not OK.
