I just wanted to share this as I think this is the neatest thing about my Mbuna. These guys are all the same age, and are tightknit little buddies. Even demonstrate classic shoaling behavior that in not very common in Mbuna. Well I don't want to say in uncommon, I just know none of the ather african cichlids I have had in the past have done this!

This was actually at feeding time, but they exhibit this behavior all the time.

acei tend to shoal so do my copadichromis females even when it not feeding time i also have a couple of fish who swim about as pairs

African Cichlids have been know to hunt in schools, even with fish of other species, they are brilliant fish

A few of mine like to stay in a tight little group . . . untill one of the others decides to charge them and break the group up!
