I have zero expierience shipping fish. I think someone should sticky shipping fish because i would imagine this question does from time to time get asked. How do you ship fish? What do you recomend in terms of supplies needed to ship fish. Any links for shipping supplies and or tips would be great.

it will be done differently in different countries so would have to cover this also
 
1: do some big water changes a few days before the fish get shipped out. The fish travel better in cleaner water and will have less problems compared to if they are packed in old dirty aquarium water)

2: don't feed the fish for 24 hours before they are packed up.

3: fill a plastic fish bag about 1/3 with tank water and add the fish. (if the fish are gong by air frieght then only fill the bag 1/4 with water and have 3/4 air/ oxygen).

4: fill the bag up with oxygen or air and seal with a rubber band. (if gouramis and bettas are in the bag do not use pure oxygen, just use normal air or 50% oxygen)

5: put the bag into another bag and seal that one up as well.

6: put the bag of fish into an esky or some other insulated container/box. (if the fish are going by air then most airlines require the esky to be lined with a plastic bag).

7: label the esky/box with the address it is going to and give it to the courier.
