Shipping Fish??

Has anyone here ever ordered fish online or from someplace where they had to be shipped?? How do they ship them?? is it expensive ??

Unless u r buying large amount of fish. Else the shipping cost is already = the cost u buy it from ur local store. Beside there is no garanty on the fish will make it healthy during transportation. So rather buy it from LFS if you aren't buying alot of them. And also you cant pick when u buy them . If you buy them in large number then its generally worth it. When shipping they will put ur order in to a bag usually arround 20fish a big depend on size of the fish and then put in stressguard/conditioner that lower stress and protect scale kind of medicine and then add oxygen and seal the bag, then the bag will be put in to a kind of sponge box which protect the fish from being squeeze and keep the temperature inside the box at a good lvl ofcourse this apply on vary of size like depending on ur number of order. Usually a good online company will ship the fish to ur door in about a days or so. Like they got ur order today and fish should be waiting for u on ur door the next day.

ok, thanks. I was just curious how that usually worked. I live about 50 miles from a good fish store and with gas prices the way they are.. well, you know..

Some online fish stores charge you a flat rate no matter how many fish you order, 2 or 10..

What country are you in?
I was told on here the other day of a place that sends fish within the UK, Tri-mar, they explain on their site how they are shipped and give a guarantee that all fish will arrive alive and well.
