USA,
well already one of them died. no idea why the Ph was 8.4 and there was no ammonia or any of that stuff that would kill it. It was starting to get a black mark on its head, yet i didnt think anything of it as my danio has one as well. The male went in a shell last night and has yet to come out. I put a danio in as a dither fish to make him come out, yet he want. I have no idea how to get him to come out and am worried that he is dead. Anyt suggestion on either subject would greatly be appreciated.

How many fish did you get altogether? How many females? How is the tank decorated, how many shells? What is the temp. of the tank? Substrate? How long have they been in there now?

If the tank is stable I'd add more danios.

Losing one fish in a batch isn't worth worrying about, so focus on how the remaining ones are doing. Multifasciatus are sensitive to ammonia - they simply won't tolerate it, so make sure it is 0.

well im assuming the other one is dead as well. one of the shells smells like death, and some one who i wilkl not name feed them so many shrimp pellets. so i will not be doing any shellies for a long time, just some rams or something small.
