Can Shell Dwellers and Cherry Shrimp with neon tetras go together without any fighting or harming of the shrimp?

Can Shell Dwellers and Cherry Shrimp with neon tetras go together without any fighting or harming of the shrimp?

The water requirements for neon tetras and cherry shrimp are totally opposite to that of shelldwellers. Further to that, shelldwellers would harass neon tetras to death and possibly attack cherry shrimp. Not a good combination.

They should work together, I read an account somewhere of shelldwellers and snails together where the male shelly would sling any snails away from his territory. It didn't hurt the snails and they usually wandered back over, but it amused the keeper.

Well I am having an extreemely hard time finding shell dwellers so I am thinking just Bolivian Rams.
