my platy droped a fry and i quickly moved he rinto the breeder because she almost ate it lol. i'm not a big fan of breeders, but after i seen her almost eat it i paniced. anyhow, how long shuld i leave her in the breeder i don't want to stress her out, i will not leave her in overnight that is for sure tho.

Congratulations and good luck, I will let someone more experienced answer your questions think that the norm is 24 hrs in a trap but enjoy !!
 
24hrs.. i won't do that to her she will be stresed for sure. i still haven't captured the little bugger, so he is loose in the tank LOL.
 
It is said tehy can be in there for 48 hours max, but i've kept some in bigger net traps with plants for over a week with no side affect to the fish! But i would just keep her in there until she's done with the fry.
 
You can leaver her in the trap for 48 hours max (keep light off when first put her in to minimize stress)...

Hopefully though she will drop all the fry in a couple of hours so you can release her quicker :)

Try not to be to nosey, leaver her be... i know its hard lol as i like to watch mine, but its best to let them get on with it without a magnified face staring at her lol.

yes i agree. i turned all the lights off and i will give her 3-4hrs.. if nothing comes i will set her free. i had too many fish die from leaving them in traps to birth their fry. i will post and update in 3hrs :D

she droped about 8 or so fry, none happened in the breeder, she held in the breeder. when i took her out she started droping again HAHA.
