Shall I Start Cycling My Shrimp Tank Now ?

hey, i got a tank,,pump and heater could i start cycling it now ?

i dont have gravel at the moment is this a problem ?

the tank is 8 US Gallons and will be used for shrimp & LAOS THAI MICRO CRAB

having the gravel/sand helps because the bacteria grow on it. you should start cycling along time before you add your first fish/shrimp (cycle at least 2 months before adding) hope this helps.
