I have a golden severum and a red spotted wild green severum.

can someone plz help by explaining how to tell the sex of these fish.

kindest regards

On a male the anal fin and ventrical fins usually reach to and even past the tail. Also the face markings on a male have more prominant in the way that the usual go over the nose where as a female they don't. It's difficult to tell with sevs though until they are breeding so these desciption will not work 100%

also females have a more rounded body form than males and as stated their finnage is not as flowing as males but thats when they hit around 3-4" u can usually tell

the male gold severums have orange spots on there face, the females don't. but not when small
