So I bought honey gouramis, 2 female, 1 male. The male got a black chin, I saw him make bubble nests and he wiggled, as in this video https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=FhR803gWC_cwith both the females.
One female died and I had the second in a hospital tank for a while. When she went back in, she chased the male a lot, then they wiggled again.
The male then got ill so he went into the hospital tank and then the female started making bubble nests!
Do the females do that, or is this a bisexual gourami?!
Male seems recovered, so has returned to main tank today and been chased mercilessly again. Female's problem still not cleared up, so she's back in the hospital tank to try something else.
Any insight?
Thanks :)

I've heard some female bettas will nest/maintain a nest by themselves, dunno how true this is, but if they are courting I wouldn't worry.

I love their names BTW.

I had a female betta that was full of eggs one day she dropped the eggs and built a bubble nest to place them in no male was present I have only seen this once but females can produce nests if they are ready to drop and in breeding condition, what problem are they suffering from? do you have a pic of the couple?
