I've been looking at it. Here is a pic of it. (best lose up i could get ot it's face)

It has no patterns on it's face so I would guess that it is a female. It is about 1/4 of it's maximum size and i'm wondering, because I'm wanting to get another severum if you can tell if it is a male or female when they are smaller. Or is it once they are growing you can see th patterns?

I believe it was said several times in your other thread (I know I said it at elast once) .Your fish is to young to sex.

whoops, sorry about this but i have made a silly blunder. Actually measuring my fish accurately, (putting ruler up against glass when he was hovering by the glass) I have actually made a mistake in the size of him / her. It is actually 7 " not my estimate of 3 ". I've noticed it is slightly pink / orange by the throat and has orange spots on it's, I think you call it's dorsal fin. By where the tail is. Is this any more helpful?

Do you have a clearer pic of the fish? It does not have the appearance of a fish that is 6 inches in length. It looks about 4 inches as far as I can tell by this pic ,and isn't this the same fish you posted in the recent past?

With Gold and I take it is a Gold, It is normally the male which will develope a lot more orange tints around the frontal end and also it's fins will be (particulary to the bottom rear) alot more orangy(terracota) just look for the early devlopment of orange freckles.
