sex the guppie. is it a male (im hoping not i wanted to breed it with a blue male)

Yeah, I`d say it`s a male. But Im using the same method I use to sex my Mollies (I`ve never had guppies) so I may be wrong

its a male. You can easily sex young/uncolored guppies by their anal fin - females have large rounded anal fins, males have a pair of gondopodium that they mate with - long thin "spine" fins that they move backwards and forwards in a mating movement.

Guppies, Platys, Swordtails, Mollies, Sailfins all have the same gondopodium in the male and the rounded anal fin in the female. The males body in Guppies tends to be sleeker and stream-lined while the female is deeper and more barrel shaped.
