Hey everyone! Quick question. I think I know the answer, but I'm dying for someone to tell me it's ok. :D

I have a 75 gal tank with lots of plants. I'd like to get a pair of severums in it...or maybe just one... Are my plants for sure doomed if I do this?

I just rescaped and removed about a third of the plants to open up a lot more space (it was a jungle before).

I mean, I don't mind if some leaves look ragged or maybe they take a liking to a certain kind and those will always look like crap as long as the plants don't get decimated in general.

The plants I have (if it makes a difference) are:
Amazon Sword
Tiger lotus
Limnophila aromatica
Rotalla red
Anubias nana
Alternanthera Reinickii (sp?)
Another broad leaf plant that looks like anubias but has roots - slow growing but pretty

...I think that's it.

Appreciate your input on this.

As they get older they will love some salad and it seems you can never feed them too much salad; though having said that more than one person buy them young and tout their lack of desire to eat plants and then they grow up and all their plants vanish....

The above is what i have read from others but i've not ever owned sevrums since all my aquariums are planted; however i do have 4 (not 1 or 2 or even 3 but 4) chocolate cichild in my aquarium of 600 gallons.

Some will be doomed, some won't. You can reduce the number of plants they eat by feeding them plant matter (pumpkin, zucchini, cucumber, etc) each day.
