I have a question to be asked and I will be really greatfull if you all could help me out with this.

I have just bought two small sized Skin colored Severum Fishs and two small Gold Fishes. I am not sure if I could keep these two different species of Fishes in the same tank. I have heard that Severums are aggressive and I am really worried if they would harm my Goldfishes. At present they are all in the same tank for almost an hour and I have been constantly observing them. No harm is yet caused to my Goldfishes. But I fear if any harm could he caused in future.

Please help me guys in need of some advice.

Thankyou

No, they couldn't live together. The goldies are a coldwater fish and need a large tank, and the severums can be aggressive, need higher temps, and need a large tank.

As Lyra Guppi said, its a no. Severums are large cichlids that need warm water and goldfish need cooler water, the goldfishes tails and long fins will be nipped by the severums also.

Severums grow to about the size of a dinner plate and goldfish will grow to about the size of your fist if not a bit bigger. How big is your tank?

Depending on the species, goldfish can easily grow larger than your arm. Fancies don't get as large, but comets will attain a massive size provided they are in an appropriate enclosure. Our one year old comet goldfish were averaging twelve inches when we had a pond in the backyard.
