My female severum, Hetty, has recently taken to eating poo straight from the bums of my other fish (who are not particularly pleased with this !).

I would post pics, but I don't think it's suitable for a family-friendly forum such as this !

Anyone else have a fish with a revolting habit ?

My texas tend to grab anything floating about, they usually spit it straight out again! Unfortunately my german shepherd has the Coprophagia condition thankfully she is finally growing out of it. Try feeding some garlic flake (if you can get hold of it) or soak some food in garlic it makes it bitter and stops the habbit (dont know if it works for fish but maybe worth a go)

My festivum has done that. Pulled the poop right out of the other fish. He went for a little that was hanging it spooked the fish out and it pooped more as he pulled it. It was so weird.

The other day my uaru eat poop did not spit it out. Yuk.

Urgh! My Green Sev, and sometimes the GT, often pick up poop on the floor, but spit it out again once they realise it isn't food.

As for the dogs

Cool, my friends Hatchetfish and glass catfish do the same thing!

This Gibbi...no word of a lie... created a poo that was over half of the length of my tank, wrapped around a piece of my bog wood, my tank is 4ft long, making it about 2ft+ of turtle head, all created by a 4-5" Gibbi! ....how the hell its possible i'll never know lmao...or how it didnt snap in the process... :p

wowsers. That's some poo ! The equivalent of you or I doing one about 29 feet long, if my maths serves me correctly !!!!
