Hi everyone! Could someone tell me a good heater, filter, tank etc. for a nano reef? I havn't done one before, and I've previously posted about it, but I didn't get any info on hardware. Could someone help me out? Thanks! :)

tell us the size of yor tank, and we can probably help you a lot more

:)

Good hardweare are things like wetdry filters and sumps for filtration. A nano tank that some people recommend is a Nano Cube. It is 12 gallons and has a wet/dry filter built into the back, it also has adequite lighting for some corals ans most nano tanks are home to just corals. Nano tanks can be hard to keep and you really must be up to the task and able to pay for the equipment and inhabitants most people would tell you to buy a tank that is 55+ gallons since these are easier to take care of.

Nano tanks are really only for advanced aquarists IMO ( Respect to all those who keep them successfully  :kana:  )

The small amount of water in nano reefs means that things can go wrong VERY fast. If ther eis a temperature spike or drop then it can heppen in les than an hour, waste toxins can rise and kill everything in just the same space of time.

Larger tanks are far more fogiving and easier to keep. They take far longer to let temperature movment effect them, watrer quality is more stable and can be monitored easier as things happen more slowly in larger tanks (usually :-( ).

I always advise people to get the largest tank they can possibly aford to fit into the space they have.
