Setting Up A 5g Planted Tank

Hello i am trying to setup 5 gallon tank into a planted tank with small fish neons ex...
I have been looking around the forums for any useful information but couldnt find anything, i need to know about fitting lighting and which would benefit a 5g tank best. I also need to know best substrate for planted tanks and wether c02 is needed or any other options than c02. I would also like to know the costs for the equipment i will need.
IF POSSIBLE COULD U POST YOUR SMALL PLANTED TANKS THNXS.

Have a check through the pinned Journal topic at the top of the forum, many of us (myself included!) have published a number of 5-gallon sized aquariums, with allsorts of lighting, substrate and CO2 combinations
