Ok, so today i went down, and i found a little fry dead on the bottom of the tank, he was a good size, no smaller than the others.
I dont have a clue why it died.. as i was there i noticed two of the fish fighting, now iv seen it before, but one would just sort of head butt anouther, and it would run of, and maybe he'd chase it a a bit. But before there was two, just circling going at each other, lasted about 10 sec's then they both swam off. Its like the vid's iv seen flagged on here, when they fight. So i can only think that maybe thats what killed him?
Either way i think its about time i seperate them, I have managed to get two big trays, filled them with water and sat the containers iv got inside, the plan is to put a heather in each to heat them all.
I can fit 45 containers in there between the two, and last time i counted, i should now have 66 fry. So i think im going to keep the other 21, in my 16 gal tank for now. I take it thats too many, even if there all female? Or would the 21 be ok in there own containers, but un heated.
However, how should i pick which to keep in the tank together, too early to sex them right? and how do i decide which 45 are the more aggressive? lol
