Fish nerd
I have a 36 Gal tank that I added a new Bristle nose to last weekend. Turns out she brought a little bit of ick to the tank. I have been treating the whole tank. Not all the fish got it. I notice less and less spots on my fish Just 2 fish have it and the only have 2 spots on them.
I have 2 balloon rams that I thought were a pair at first. Turns out they are 2 males. The one that gets picked on has ick (no surprise) the other ones does not. The one that gets picked on is also showing signs of being very stressed. Turning a darker color. The other ram is looking as good as ever.
So I separated them tonight. I put the stressed ram in my 10 tank that I had set up for some bettas that were a little sick. I am going to treat him in there so he can recover from both the harassment and the Ick.
MY question is when he gets better should I just keep them separated? They have lots of places to hind in the big tank but still they will see each other around. There were days when they got along great and other days it was full on war. Then they would be ok again.
Another question. Do you use Ick medication or the salt method?
