Separated Baby Fish Missing!?

Heya, just a quick question.

A few days ago when cleaning out the tank, after moving the filter we found 2 baby fish. They wern't newborn, but a little bigger. You could clearly see there eyes and they were orange in colour.

We put the little net cage in the tank, caught the babies and put them in there.

Yesterday I was watching them swim about happily.

When I went to feed them today, I looked in the net box and I couldnt see them at all.I looked from the bottom up, top down, straight through the glass and could not see any sign of them... Where have they gone!?

It was only them 2 in there and we've manage to grow a baby in there before so I'm sure there's no little holes.

Anyone got any ideas?

No ideal where the little rascals have gone but fish fry have a habit of vanishing from my tank also.

Even if I put them in a breeding container they still seem to disappear

We never did find the 2 baby fish that went missing but we found a new baby yesterday, put it in the net, watched it all evening.
Today, we wake up... again it's gone. I'm really baffled. I've taken the net cage out and fully inspected it for holes but I cant see even the tiniest tear..

It's so weird!
