Seneye?

Good to see they have gone to the effort of translating into english correctly.....on no, wait a minute... ;)

Forgot all about this thread. Cheers for the review of this, £58 seems a good deal personally for this (although I am a sucker for gadgets).

Been reading up on this and allot of people are having problems, seems like a very good product but has quite a few issues that need sorting!

If they get everything sorted then I am certainly interested.

I was looking at this thing on Charter house aquatics, and i was waiting until it was relased so i could place my order. I would really like to see the trends in my tank, specifically the PH, as my PH is rock bottom, around 4.5! But i put in water with a PH of 7....strange.

Anyway, i was put off buying it due to lack of information - i.e. how much these strips would cost. Now i have my answer! Do they just post them out to you in batches? I gather £6 gives you the account too?

I had the impression you did not need an account - i.e. if you were happy to monitor the data just on your laptop and were not bothered about remotly accessing it.

Can you give me info about how the thing works - for example, i realise you can use the USB to download data to your laptop. But how often do you need to do this? I gather the thing has some form of built in memory? The adverts that came out showed you being able to access the data via your iphone. Can this be done yet? You are also able to log on and access the data from the internet. But how does it get from your aquarium to the internet?! haha

I am thinking i may get this and use it in a few tanks - a month about - so i can see the trends each type of filter/ media/ plants/ sustrate has on my tank!

Thanks :)

Ordered mine last night. They sell the slides on their website in a pack of 3 at a time which includes the account. It has an internal battery but the manual does not say how long the battery stays charged. You can access the data through the web on your iphone but the iphone app is still in the works. When you connect it to your laptop it loads your info to it's website.

So i guess from that, you need to have your laptop next to the thing, switched on and uploading to the site while you are on holiday if you wish to check.....like they advertised you could?

I thought it may have a means of connecting into your wifi or something and would stream the data online

It can be hooked up to an optional wireless usb sharing station for an added cost of around $70 or you can buy a 15 foot usb cable on Amazon for $0.31!
