im starting to look for potential fish i can keep and i was wondering which semi agressive fish i can keep in a 30 gallon tank with gravel at the bottom.

i would like to keep a couple of species instead of just one (if it's possible)

By semi-aggressive, what exactly do you want? A cichlid setup, community, oddball? Do you want a planted tank? What type of fish are you interested in? That way we can provide examples.

Yeah, we'd need more information. "Semi-aggressive" is a nebulous term to begin with. It means different things to different people.

sorry about that.. that probably gave away the newb haha
well i was thinking of a community tank because id like to have different types of fish rather than just have a species tank.
i have one plastic plant and i will get more and some wood. theres slate in rocks in there too. (i should just post a picture)

yeah post a pic (i like to be nosy). if your looking to do a community setup then you will need to be careful with your stocking. cichlids are great fish imo. if you select the right ones you can put these in a community setup. kribs are good ones - very colourful, heaps of personality, never mind semi-aggressive, some can be extremely aggressive and territorial so beware with those. bolivian rams are nice, although i'm not sure they'd be considered aggressive at all? barbs (tiger barbs, rosy barbs, odessa barb) may be good fish to go for as they are not so aggressive as many cichlids so can mix with more tank mates. still have to be careful though - no long finned fish

hmm i think it would have been better if i asked which agressive/semiagressive fish can co-exist (some colorful ones)
i have a list of fish that i can have for a community tank (that was pretty easy to do) but i dont know how to match up semi-agressive/agressive fish so they can co exist in the same tank (i have a 30g tank)

here is it is kim03333
but i think what i was saying is say i want angels and they are known to be some what aggressive, what other kind of fish can i put in with them? thats what i was gearing towards, but the only problem is i dont know what my centerpiece fish should be... any sugesstions?
