I have a doubt, I'm going to sell the fry that I couldn't find a home for, and I found this LFS that will buy them from me. :)

Now, I'm not trying to make a business out of the fry but I just want to know if I found a "fair" deal here or not.

The mollies I bought cost $15 pesos (around $1.2 USD) and the LFS that is willing to buy some of the fry, will give me $3 pesos for each fry (around $0.3 USD) when they get bigger (2.5cm).

So is that fair, or common??? Should I find some other LFS to sell them to??? :/

Its sounds like a fair price to me, lfs buy mollys for pennys and most won't pay anything for customers fry/half grown offspring for insurance reasons.

Pretty much anything you can get for the fry is worth selling them for. The bigger you let them get the better price you should get. Good luck :D

thanks for your comments, and yes you're right. I asked around at some other LFS and some didn't gave me anything, and some would give me like $1 peso for each fry (less than 1 cent of a dollar)

So I'll take this deal when they grow up some more, maybe these mollies will end up paying for their everyday food

I have to give mine away for nothing, so as has already been said that is a fair price. I didn't know about the insurance. I was just glad to find a home for mine. I started with two females and ended up with 23 fish! They have had a few more since then but the fry must get eaten when they are tiny. I only have three fry growing at the moment.

The insurance reasons are mainly because, if you sell your mollys for example to a lfs and they have a very infectious desease that kills many of their fish, the lfs can neither sue you nor ask for their money back legally.
