Securing Riccia

i read the pinned topic and it said use a transparent hair net to keep it down

does the riccia just grow inderneath it? and doesnt protrude through and because it is transparnt you cant see it?

also where can i get transparent hair nets from? cant find any on ebay

Hair nets are basically very fine nylon meshes. Just go to boots, you can buy them in packs of 2 for about 85p... I used the grey coloured ones and they're almost invisible... I used it to attach riccia to medium sized stones and wrapped each net around twice then tied them off underneath.

it grows throught, the best example i have seen is Dave Spencer's when he did a full tank of riccia. Hopefully if he see's this he can get some pics or PM him.
