Hey
Im thinking of getting a pair of H.erectus or something for my 20 gal high. Provided with LR obviously, stacked high. Id have calupera growing off the rocks for them to hitch onto (got some red grape and another red type already).
Now i know you cant mix energetic fish with them (due to feeding) but what about the inverts? I imagine you can have snails and hermits but what about cleaner shrimp? In my main tank they he snatches food before my fish do, so i doubt theyre a good idea... Are peppermints less aggressive or a they the same?
If anyones got any pics of their tanks, please post them. I went into a place up London and they had a tank full of them so hopefully when im done cycling, they'll still be there.
BTW i have a marine tank atm and am aware of cycling and how long i have to wait before i add fish etc :good:

Cheers

never kept seahorses myself but heard alot about there feeding routine, all i can say is from my own experience starfish, feather dusters and urchins should be fine with seahorses as far as the feeding is concerned. i cant comment on any others as i never kept anything else.. only fish wich eat way to fast so the seahorses wont get anything. most inverts should be good if there slow swimmers or filter feeders.

Cool, thanks for the help. I can get them after Christmas :yahoo: My parents said they want me to save some money up cause i spend it all lol. They're gonna give me vouchers so i can get all the LR and stuff and CUC from work, and then a couple of months down the line the seahorses :) Im probably gonna leave it as just the pair of SH as they need feeding frozen/live twice a day, so i dont want the water polluting too mcuh as i just have LR, powerheads and 2 internal filters (with media) in my marine tanks; as i dont see the need for Protein skimmers in nano tanks (and they can lead the seahorses to bubble gas or something).
When i get ti setup ill post a journal in the journal section
